A woman is considered to be in menopause or “menopausal,” when she has not had a menstrual period for twelve consecutive months. But before menopause sets in, a woman can endure the symptoms of perimenopause (which is the term used to describe the lead-up to menopause) for as long as a decade.
Perimenopause, menopause, and their associated symptoms can be challenging chapters in a woman’s fertility health journey. Explore the articles below to learn more about how FAMs and methods of NFP can help women navigate the transition to menopause known as perimenopause, and its associated symptoms.
