Natural Womanhood Corrections

As an informational organization dedicated to the promotion of fertility awareness methods (FAMs) and Natural Family Planning (NFP), Natural Womanhood takes pride in presenting the best, most up-to-date evidence-based information available on a variety of topics related to family planning and women’s health. We strive to be informative, engaging, transparent, and action-oriented in everything we publish and produce.

Most of Natural Womanhood’s recent articles (and many of our older, most popular articles) are reviewed after publication by our Scientific Advisory Board, and edits are made accordingly at the assigned SAB member’s direction and NW editors’ discretion. We also listen to readers’ feedback and comments that suggest reasonable corrections or additions to our content.

Natural Womanhood made extensive edits to our website format and the content of our landing pages in 2020, and our SAB has reviewed over 200 of our articles since 2021. On articles where extensive updates have been made, either because a SAB reviewer has suggested those updates, or because new and better information has become available since the article was first published, we annotate that article with a statement and the date on which the corrections were published, which can be found in italics at the bottom of that article. For published articles that have been reviewed by our SAB but did not require substantial edits, we simply add the “Reviewed by [SAB member’s name]” badge to the top of the article.
