The Fertility Diaries Episode 1

You know what the Fertility Awareness and Natural Family Planning (NFP) world needs? Some light entertainment. All the talk about ovulation and cervical fluid and estrogen and LH surges can feel a bit like high school biology. It’s super cool stuff, but we shouldn’t forget to have fun with it.

So from the creator of Miscontraceptions, (that’s me) and the crew at Natural Womanhood, we’re bringing you a monthly webisode called “The Fertility Diaries.” It’s quirky, jovial and educational, and we are really excited to launch this week. Watch it, share it, revel in it. We mostly keep it real. OK, there are a couple shots of flowers, we couldn’t help ourselves. And there might be a bit somewhere in there about how it brings you closer together as a couple—but come on guys, doesn’t it??

We’re so grateful that knowledge for fertility awareness based methods has increased. All these gadgets and apps and organizations are devoted solely to bringing about familiarity with all the amazing things our femininity can do. But we feel like it’s time to let FAM speak for itself. In the form of a webisode.

In this first episode, we hear from couples and fertility awareness experts about the basics: the rhythm method and other names,  cervical mucus, what it means to women and couples. Next episodes will explore charting, what men think, effectiveness of fertility awareness, and more.

Without further ado, here’s our first taste of what is to come. We present—”The Fertility Diaries, Episode 1.”
