Happy Mother’s Day to all those women whose healthy fertility gave us life, and to all those who wish to bring new life into this world. A recent national survey by the Chicago Tribune found the vast majority – 79%–of women felt that more information about “personal fertility potential” should be included in sex ed in schools. Women wish they had known more about monitoring ovulation and the various threats to their ability to conceive, including age. A full 52% of women over 35 said they would have made different life choices had they known then what they know now about their own fertility.
Here are just a few of the advantages available to those who gain such knowledge through a fertility awareness method:
- Avoiding using harmful contraceptives and staying healthier
- Learning to interpret what your body is telling you about your fertility
- Understanding what’s normal and what’s not in your cycle
- Getting help early with reproductive dysfunctions
- Gaining self-confidence and self-respect
- Being prepared and planning for later years
Let’s make sure the next generation of women, mothers, wives and girlfriends, are fully cognizant of the timing of their reproductive power.
