| Dear friend, When my husband and I first started using fertility awareness, it was purely for family planning purposes. But after facing cycle irregularities and accompanying infertility, we were grateful to learn that my charts could be used for so much more. With the help of physicians trained in restorative reproductive medicine, I was able to attain an optimal level of cycle health, greater overall health, and eventually overcome infertility. This week, we are highlighting charting as an essential tool for women’s health. Up first, we have Taryn Oesch DeLong discussing how women can use their cycle charts to manage various chronic illnesses. We also have a new FAM Basics piece from Cassondra Moriarty that gives a primer on how a woman’s charts are indicative of her hormonal health. Clearly, there are many good reasons for women and couples to learn and use fertility awareness. When choosing a fertility awareness method (FAM), it can be helpful to know which methods are best suited to achieve your goals, whether that is to monitor your health, achieve pregnancy, postpone pregnancy, or navigate transitional periods of fertility (like puberty, postpartum, and perimenopause). If you or someone you know wants more information about how to choose the right FAM, stay tuned next week for exciting new content on our Topic of the Month: Choosing a FAM. To kick off this topic, we conducted a live interview on Facebook and YouTube with Dr. Marguerite Duane from FACTS this past Friday. We encourage you to check it out here in case you missed it!
