Restorative reproductive medicine (RRM) is an innovation in women’s health science that monitors and maintains a woman’s reproductive and gynecological health. RRM provides medical and surgical treatments that cooperate with the reproductive system rather than overriding it. Physicians trained in RRM are not only versed in fertility awareness methods (FAMs), but have also been trained to treat women based on an understanding of their fertility cycles. This approach to healthcare is called “restorative reproductive medicine” because it aims at finding and treating the root causes of reproductive and menstrual disorders, as well as infertility. RRM uses medicine to restore women’s healthy cycles to protect and enhance their natural fertility and overall health.
How to find a doctor trained in restorative reproductive medicine
CREIGHTON MODEL FertilityCare System (CrMS) medical consultants are trained in identifying and treating the root cause of infertility and other women’s health disorders using the NaProTECHNOLOGY (Natural Procreative Technology) approach. The FertilityCare Centers of America offers a network of CrMS consultants, which you can search here.
FEMM is a women’s health program that teaches the link between hormones and health, and how to monitor hormones and other vital signs of reproductive health. The FEMM program includes medical protocols and management to treat reproductive health disorders.
NeoFertility can assist with almost any fertility complaint. The Neo approach is effective for patients who have experienced or been diagnosed with recurrent miscarriage, reduced ovarian reserve, polycystic ovaries, endometriosis, male factor infertility, and even failed IVF/IUI. Even if your fertility problems are “unexplained,” Neo will exhaust every treatment method to help uncover the cause and treat it accordingly.
How to become a trained provider of restorative reproductive medicine
Creighton Model FertilityCare System / NaProTechnology Medical Consultant Training
The Creighton Model FertilityCare System provides comprehensive, professional services through individualized follow-up, standardized teaching tools and ongoing research. The Creighton Model is a medically standardized modification of the Billings Ovulation Method. It is the only education program in this field that meets the education demands of a newly emerging allied health profession and provides a case management approach to teaching. To become a NaProTechnology Medical Consultant, you must attend and complete both Education Phase 1 and Education Phase 2, which each take place over the course of one week in Omaha, NE (for a total of two weeks of intensive training).
FEMM Certified Medical Provider Training
To become a FEMM Certified Medical Provider and to maintain that certification, the first step is to complete a Medical Management Intro Course, which is an on demand self-paced course worth 20 CME credits that focuses on the physiology and complexity of reproductive hormones and how they impact overall health. This course also introduces the provider to the FEMM Medical Management protocols. After completion of the Medical Management Intro course, the second step is for providers to partake in the annual Medical Management Masterclass (worth 18 CME credits). In the Masterclass, providers receive in-depth training on how to use and implement the FEMM Medical Management protocols. Participants of the Masterclass will receive science and evidence-based textbooks, diagnostic and treatment protocols for reproductive disorders, and ongoing network support for integration of the FEMM protocols and their approach into their own practice.
NEOFertility Medical Management Course Training
The online course has 8 lessons which include: Recorded lectures from Dr Phil Boyle, recorded Q&A sessions from previous courses, knowledge checks, summary documents, access to Dr Boyle’s library, and clinical case presentations.
