Are you an experienced social media communicator with a passion for fertility awareness? Are you looking for a fulfilling part-time project that will complement your family or personal income?  Natural Womanhood is looking for someone who will develop and implement our Social Media strategy in order to increase our online presence. You will be working closely with the Editor and Assistant Editor to promote the content and submit content suggestions. This is a contract position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy for 2 websites:
  • Natural Womanhood: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest
  • IUDAlert: Set up, optimize and manage Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (IG) pages. Manage the testimony submissions and posts them on the blog and social as appropriate.
  • Generate, edit, publish and share regular content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action. Post at least 3 times a week on Facebook and Twitter, and one to 3 times on IG.
  • Generate appealing graphics and memes using Canva (based on your experience)
  • Moderate all user-generated content (such as messages and comments)
  • Measure the success of every social media campaign
  • Use social media marketing tools such as Buffer or others
  • Work with editors and designer to ensure content is informative and appealing
  • Monitor user engagement and suggest content optimization
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
  • Provide constructive feedback

Requirements

  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
  • Graphic design ability preferred and proficiency with Canva or similar
  • Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices
