La machine \u00e0 bruit blanc ronronnait dans le coin. Alors que j'embrassais mon fils de 19 mois et que je le couchais dans son berceau pour la sieste, j'ai aper\u00e7u quelque chose en haut et \u00e0 droite, comme un petit feu d'artifice dans l'obscurit\u00e9 de la chambre d'enfant. <em>Oui, il fallait absolument que j'aille \u00e0 l'h\u00f4pital.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ma m\u00e8re venait d'arriver pour nous conduire, mon nouveau-n\u00e9 et moi, aux urgences, tandis que mon mari restait avec mes trois a\u00een\u00e9s. Cette \u00e9tincelle a \u00e9t\u00e9 le seul sympt\u00f4me de ma pr\u00e9-\u00e9clampsie post-partum, en dehors de ma tension art\u00e9rielle \u00e9lev\u00e9e. Aujourd'hui encore, je me demande parfois ce qui se serait pass\u00e9 si je n'avais pas \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9venue en surveillant ma tension art\u00e9rielle \u00e0 la maison.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Si vous avez d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 enceinte, vous savez peut-\u00eatre que <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalwomanhood.org\/fr\/preeclampsie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pr\u00e9\u00e9clampsie<\/a> est une menace qui plane sur le troisi\u00e8me trimestre. M\u00eame si vous n'en \u00eates pas consciente, vous faites l'objet d'un d\u00e9pistage \u00e0 chaque rendez-vous pr\u00e9natal. C'est pourquoi on v\u00e9rifie si souvent votre tension art\u00e9rielle, et parfois votre urine. L'\u00e9tat de sant\u00e9 <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalwomanhood.org\/fr\/preeclampsie\/\">affecte<\/a> Elle peut \u00eatre fatale si elle n'est pas trait\u00e9e, c'est pourquoi les m\u00e9decins sont si attentifs \u00e0 en d\u00e9tecter les signes le plus t\u00f4t possible. Mais lorsque j'ai vu ce scintillement du coin de l'\u0153il, je l'avais d\u00e9j\u00e0 fait. Alors pourquoi suis-je retourn\u00e9e \u00e0 l'h\u00f4pital avec mon b\u00e9b\u00e9 de 5 jours ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tr\u00e8s rarement, chez environ 4-6% des 3-6% des femmes qui d\u00e9veloppent une pr\u00e9\u00e9clampsie, l'affection<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whattoexpect.com\/first-year\/postpartum-health-and-care\/postpartum-preeclampsia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> se d\u00e9veloppe dans le post-partum,<\/a> <em>apr\u00e8s<\/em> le b\u00e9b\u00e9 est n\u00e9. C'est d'autant plus dangereux qu'il n'y a plus de visites hebdomadaires chez le m\u00e9decin pour d\u00e9pister le probl\u00e8me. Et avec toutes les autres choses dont vous devez vous pr\u00e9occuper lorsque vous vous occupez d'un nouveau-n\u00e9, il peut \u00eatre facile de ne pas voir les signes r\u00e9v\u00e9lateurs que quelque chose ne va pas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-my-experience-with-postpartum-preeclampsia\"><span id=\"my-experience-with-postpartum-preeclampsia\">Mon exp\u00e9rience de la pr\u00e9\u00e9clampsie post-partum<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pr\u00e9-\u00e9clampsie post-partum <em>peut<\/em> se pr\u00e9sentent \u00e0 l'improviste, sans aucun signe avant-coureur. Heureusement pour moi, ce n'\u00e9tait pas le cas. I <em>a fait<\/em> Dans les semaines qui ont pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 l'accouchement, j'ai eu quelques inqui\u00e9tudes qui m'ont mise en alerte. J'ai eu un pic de tension art\u00e9rielle lors de mon rendez-vous \u00e0 la 38e semaine. Cela s'est calm\u00e9 imm\u00e9diatement, mais ce premier chiffre \u00e9tait suffisamment \u00e9lev\u00e9 pour que le m\u00e9decin choisisse d'\u00eatre prudent, et j'en suis heureuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-one-high-blood-pressure-reading-triggered-extra-monitoring-for-baby-and-me\"><span id=\"one-high-blood-pressure-reading-triggered-extra-monitoring-for-baby-and-me\">Une tension art\u00e9rielle \u00e9lev\u00e9e a entra\u00een\u00e9 une surveillance suppl\u00e9mentaire pour le b\u00e9b\u00e9 et pour moi.<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Juste apr\u00e8s la lecture de ma tension art\u00e9rielle \u00e9lev\u00e9e lors de mon rendez-vous \u00e0 la 38e semaine, j'ai subi un test de non stress (NST) pour v\u00e9rifier le bien-\u00eatre de mon b\u00e9b\u00e9. J'en ai eu un autre \u00e0 la 40e semaine. Ma propre tension art\u00e9rielle a \u00e9t\u00e9 surveill\u00e9e tout au long de chaque NST, et chaque contr\u00f4le a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 des valeurs normales. Peut-\u00eatre que tout allait bien ?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il \u00e9tait difficile de s'y retrouver dans ces signaux contradictoires. Je me suis souvent demand\u00e9 si la seule valeur \u00e9lev\u00e9e n'\u00e9tait pas le fruit du hasard. N\u00e9anmoins, j'ai suivi le conseil de mon m\u00e9decin, qui m'a dit que l'hypertension \u00e9tait la fa\u00e7on dont mon corps m'avertissait qu'il \u00e9tait temps de d\u00e9clencher le travail et de faire en sorte que le b\u00e9b\u00e9 nous rejoigne dans le monde ext\u00e9rieur. \u00c0 40 semaines et deux jours, comme je n'avais pas encore commenc\u00e9 le travail par moi-m\u00eame, je suis entr\u00e9e \u00e0 l'h\u00f4pital <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalwomanhood.org\/fr\/raisons-detre-induites\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pour une induction<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">C'\u00e9tait mon quatri\u00e8me b\u00e9b\u00e9. J'ai eu une belle induction de 6 heures avec une charmante <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalwomanhood.org\/fr\/au-dela-des-options-de-gestion-de-la-douleur-de-laccouchement-par-voie-peridurale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">p\u00e9ridurale<\/a> et aucune d\u00e9chirure. Je me suis sentie tr\u00e8s bien le lendemain et j'\u00e9tais convaincue que la convalescence serait facile.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-even-after-i-went-home-with-my-baby-i-had-to-keep-checking-my-blood-pressure\"><span id=\"even-after-i-went-home-with-my-baby-i-had-to-keep-checking-my-blood-pressure\">M\u00eame apr\u00e8s \u00eatre rentr\u00e9e chez moi avec mon b\u00e9b\u00e9, j'ai d\u00fb continuer \u00e0 v\u00e9rifier ma tension art\u00e9rielle<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Comme j'avais eu cette tension art\u00e9rielle \u00e9lev\u00e9e \u00e0 38 semaines de grossesse, j'ai quitt\u00e9 l'h\u00f4pital avec l'instruction de v\u00e9rifier ma tension art\u00e9rielle plusieurs fois par jour et de surveiller les autres sympt\u00f4mes de la pr\u00e9\u00e9clampsie. Tr\u00e8s vite, au cours des quelques jours qui ont suivi mon retour \u00e0 la maison, j'ai remarqu\u00e9 que les chiffres commen\u00e7aient \u00e0 grimper. 140\/80, puis 160\/90. Cette fois, ils n'ont pas baiss\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lorsque je me suis rendue aux urgences, cinq jours apr\u00e8s l'accouchement, ma tension art\u00e9rielle atteignait 194\/100. J'essayais de rester calme, mais j'ai su que les choses \u00e9taient s\u00e9rieuses lorsque l'infirmi\u00e8re de triage a d\u00fb repousser une autre patiente souffrant d'une crise de panique parce que j'\u00e9tais la patiente la plus malade. La vue de son visage alors qu'elle essayait de me calmer m'a plus angoiss\u00e9 qu'autre chose. J'\u00e9tais si heureuse d'avoir ma m\u00e8re \u00e0 mes c\u00f4t\u00e9s !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-postpartum-preeclampsia-is-treated\"><span id=\"how-postpartum-preeclampsia-is-treated\">Traitement de la pr\u00e9\u00e9clampsie post-partum<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">J'ai \u00e9t\u00e9 rapidement admis \u00e0 l'h\u00f4pital et on m'a administr\u00e9 des m\u00e9dicaments par voie intraveineuse pour faire baisser ma tension art\u00e9rielle. <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalwomanhood.org\/fr\/quel-est-leffet-du-magnesium-sur-lorganisme\/\">magn\u00e9sium<\/a>Je me suis sentie faible et fatigu\u00e9e pendant toute une journ\u00e9e dans ce lit d'h\u00f4pital. Mes yeux \u00e9taient lourds, mais ne voulaient pas se fermer compl\u00e8tement, comme si j'\u00e9tais trop fatigu\u00e9e pour dormir. Ma vision \u00e9tait floue et nageante, comme si mes yeux n'arrivaient pas \u00e0 se suivre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Heureusement, j'avais \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9admise dans l'unit\u00e9 postnatale, qui est plus confortable que le service des urgences et dispose de mo\u00efses. Cependant, mon fils n'\u00e9tait plus un patient, ce qui signifiait que les infirmi\u00e8res ne pouvaient rien faire pour lui, et que mon mari devait rester avec moi \u00e0 plein temps en tant que soignant responsable.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apr\u00e8s l'arr\u00eat du magn\u00e9sium, le reste de mon s\u00e9jour de 48 heures \u00e0 l'h\u00f4pital a \u00e9t\u00e9 heureusement ennuyeux, m\u00eame si mes trois enfants plus \u00e2g\u00e9s m'ont manqu\u00e9 plus que je ne l'aurais cru possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On m'a renvoy\u00e9 chez moi avec des m\u00e9dicaments quotidiens et des instructions pour v\u00e9rifier ma tension art\u00e9rielle tous les matins, ce que j'ai fait avec diligence. Il a fallu attendre plusieurs semaines avant que l'on me conseille d'arr\u00eater les m\u00e9dicaments. Je suis tellement reconnaissante de vivre \u00e0 une \u00e9poque o\u00f9 j'ai pu recevoir le traitement dont j'avais besoin. Il y a \u00e0 peine cent ans, j'aurais probablement fait une crise d'\u00e9pilepsie et je serais morte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-symptoms-to-look-out-for\"><span id=\"symptoms-to-look-out-for\">Sympt\u00f4mes \u00e0 surveiller<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Comment savoir si vous souffrez de pr\u00e9-\u00e9clampsie post-partum ? Tout d'abord, si vos m\u00e9decins s'inqui\u00e8tent de votre tension art\u00e9rielle, <strong>Veillez \u00e0 suivre leurs conseils pour le contr\u00f4ler \u00e0 la maison !<\/strong> Suivre ces instructions m'a litt\u00e9ralement sauv\u00e9 la vie. Il existe d'autres <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marchofdimes.org\/find-support\/blog\/preeclampsia-can-also-happen-after-youve-given-birth\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sympt\u00f4mes \u00e0 surveiller<\/a> qui pourraient indiquer une situation d'urgence :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Changements de la vision, comme des troubles de la vision, des lumi\u00e8res clignotantes, des taches ou une sensibilit\u00e9 \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maux de t\u00eate persistants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Naus\u00e9es (sensation d'avoir mal au ventre), vomissements ou vertiges<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Douleur dans la partie sup\u00e9rieure droite du ventre ou dans l'\u00e9paule<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gonflement des jambes, des mains ou du visage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Difficult\u00e9s respiratoires<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trop de prot\u00e9ines dans les urines et diminution de la miction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hypertension art\u00e9rielle (140\/90 ou plus)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La pr\u00e9\u00e9clampsie post-partum appara\u00eet le plus souvent dans les 48 heures qui suivent l'accouchement, mais elle peut aussi se manifester dans les deux semaines qui suivent l'accouchement. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marchofdimes.org\/find-support\/blog\/preeclampsia-can-also-happen-after-youve-given-birth\">peut se produire<\/a> jusqu'\u00e0 six semaines apr\u00e8s l'accouchement. La mienne s'est d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e lentement du 3e au 5e jour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-trust-the-reasons-you-chose-your-doctor\"><span id=\"trust-the-reasons-you-chose-your-doctor\">Faites confiance aux raisons pour lesquelles vous avez choisi votre m\u00e9decin<\/span><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Je pense que les principales le\u00e7ons que j'ai tir\u00e9es de mon exp\u00e9rience ont \u00e9t\u00e9 de me faire confiance et de faire confiance \u00e0 mes m\u00e9decins. Je suis heureuse d'avoir \u00e9cout\u00e9 et d'avoir obtenu le suivi et les pr\u00e9cautions que j'ai pris. En fin de compte, qui sait ce qui aurait pu se passer si je n'avais pas \u00e9t\u00e9 provoqu\u00e9e ou si je n'avais pas pris au s\u00e9rieux les instructions concernant la surveillance de ma tension art\u00e9rielle ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En fin de compte, c'est votre m\u00e9decin qui conna\u00eet le mieux votre situation et qui s'occupera le mieux de vous.
