Les gens ne comprennent pas vraiment ce que nous faisons en tant qu'enseignants de la connaissance de la f\u00e9condit\u00e9. Et ils n'osent pas demander. Il y a quelques mois, j'\u00e9tais dans un avion pour le Nebraska, en route pour une formation \u00e0 Creighton, avec des livres sur les genoux, enthousiaste et parfaitement inconsciente de ce qui m'attendait. Apr\u00e8s les civilit\u00e9s d'usage, la femme \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de moi demande :<\/p>\n

\"Alors, que faites-vous ?\"<\/p>\n

Sans broncher, je r\u00e9ponds : \"Je suis stagiaire en soins de fertilit\u00e9... (regard vide)... ce qui signifie que j'enseigne aux femmes des m\u00e9thodes naturelles pour obtenir ou \u00e9viter une grossesse\".<\/p>\n

Oh. K. Silence. Voil\u00e0 qui tue la conversation. Et cette femme \u00e9tait en route pour aller voir son nouveau petit-enfant !<\/p>\n

Une situation similaire s'est produite lors de la r\u00e9union de l'\u00e9cole maternelle de mon fils. La conversation courante avec d'autres parents s'est transform\u00e9e en une discussion sur notre \"course du matin\" : la course quotidienne pour amener les enfants \u00e0 l'\u00e9cole et arriver \u00e0 l'heure \u00e0 nos propres engagements.<\/p>\n

\"Alors, quel est votre travail ?\"<\/p>\n

\"J'enseigne aux femmes et aux couples ce qu'est la fertilit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Et de nouveau un silence g\u00eanant. Changer de sujet.<\/p>\n

Mais voici ce que je fais. J'ai cess\u00e9 d'enseigner aux gens les produits chimiques qu'ils absorbent dans leur corps par le biais de la nourriture pour leur parler d'un biomarqueur chimique tr\u00e8s particulier qui en ressort. Dans le premier cas, j'ai re\u00e7u une foule de questions enthousiastes sur les produits sans gluten, les produits biologiques, les divers suppl\u00e9ments, etc. Le second - eh bien, vous savez.<\/p>\n

Je suppose que les gens pr\u00e9f\u00e8rent parler de ce qui entre, plut\u00f4t que de ce qui sort.<\/p>\n

Alors maintenant, je dis simplement que je travaille dans le domaine de la sant\u00e9 des femmes. Cela n'alimente toujours pas les conversations, mais au moins ils imaginent une sorte de travailleur de la sant\u00e9. J'esp\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

Ce qu'il faut pour devenir un enseignant de sensibilisation \u00e0 la fertilit\u00e9<\/h3>\n

En fait, le praticien en soins de fertilit\u00e9 est un de bonne foi <\/em>Profession param\u00e9dicale<\/a>. En tant que tel, il adh\u00e8re \u00e0 certaines des m\u00eames normes que les kin\u00e9sith\u00e9rapeutes, les auxiliaires de vie, les techniciens de diagnostic, les assistants m\u00e9dicaux et, oui, m\u00eame les nutritionnistes.<\/p>\n

Les praticiens en soins de fertilit\u00e9 (PSF) sont tenus d'avoir au moins le niveau du baccalaur\u00e9at avant d'entrer dans le programme de formation ou de travailler \u00e0 l'obtention de leur dipl\u00f4me de premier cycle. En fait, la plupart des praticiens en soins de fertilit\u00e9 ont ce niveau, et m\u00eame un peu plus-<\/i>Parmi eux, on trouve des infirmi\u00e8res \u00e0 part enti\u00e8re, des r\u00e9sidents en m\u00e9decine, des assistants m\u00e9dicaux et des m\u00e9decins, bien que je me souvienne d'un \u00e9tudiant exceptionnellement brillant lors de ma formation. Les partisans de la m\u00e9decine fonctionnelle, comme les ost\u00e9opathes, les naturopathes et les chiropracteurs, peuvent \u00e9galement monter \u00e0 bord du train de la fertilit\u00e9 naturelle, et l'ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 fait.<\/p>\n

Un groupe intelligent, ces PCF. Enseigner aux femmes (et aux couples) les param\u00e8tres de leur fertilit\u00e9 n\u00e9cessite une solide formation scientifique, associ\u00e9e aux excellentes comp\u00e9tences non techniques d'un travailleur social ou d'un conseiller et \u00e0 la m\u00e9ticulosit\u00e9 d'un pathologiste.<\/p>\n

Mais ce n'est que l'essentiel.<\/p>\n

Quel type de personne peut \u00eatre instructeur FAM ou PFN ?<\/h3>\n

Ce qu'il faut vraiment pour exercer ce curieux m\u00e9tier, c'est du courage. Le courage de s'int\u00e9resser \u00e0 quelque chose que la plupart des gens ne connaissent pas suffisamment pour envisager de s'y int\u00e9resser. Il faut du courage pour annoncer que l'on offre un service dont la plupart des gens n'ont jamais entendu parler, ou pire, qu'ils assimilent \u00e0 une sorte d'attrape-nigauds.<\/p>\n

Les PCF sont des gens courageux. Et, comme vous pouvez le constater, pas le \"courage stupide\" d'un adolescent rebelle, mais un courage \u00e9duqu\u00e9 et logique.<\/p>\n

Tous les professeurs de m\u00e9thodes naturelles que j'ai rencontr\u00e9s sont sur le terrain, passant du temps avec la nouvelle maman d\u00e9bord\u00e9e, l'adolescent d\u00e9concert\u00e9, le couple infertile. Ils y consacrent beaucoup de temps (les suivis durent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement une heure et ont lieu toutes les deux semaines pendant les deux premiers mois), ce qui d\u00e9montre une autre qualit\u00e9 du professionnel des soins de fertilit\u00e9 : l'amour.<\/p>\n

Le temps, c'est de l'amour, n'est-ce pas ? Ce n'est pas de l'argent, c'est de l'amour. Les PCF y consacrent du temps parce que vous, leur client, avez plus de valeur que leur temps. Ce temps est bien utilis\u00e9, car il vous permet d'acqu\u00e9rir des connaissances qui peuvent faire la diff\u00e9rence entre une nouvelle vie et la m\u00eame chose.<\/p>\n

Les professionnels des soins de fertilit\u00e9 sont une nouvelle race de travailleurs param\u00e9dicaux. Ils sont tout aussi occup\u00e9s que les autres, mais ils n'ont pas peur de vous donner de leur temps en plus de leurs vastes connaissances et de leurs comp\u00e9tences interpersonnelles.<\/p>\n

N'est-ce pas ce dont le monde de la sant\u00e9 a besoin ? Plus de temps pour le patient\/client ?<\/p>\n

Et, par co\u00efncidence, devinez ce que chaque PCF attend de vous en retour ? Ne vous inqui\u00e9tez pas, pas grand-chose-<\/i>juste le temps qu'il faut. Prenez le temps d'apprendre, d'enregistrer et d'appr\u00e9cier ce que votre corps vous dit.<\/p>\n

Si vous pensez avoir ce qu'il faut, l'intelligence et le courage, pour devenir praticien en soins de fertilit\u00e9 \u00e0 v\u00e9rifier<\/a>mais soyez pr\u00eats-<\/i>le programme du PCF est un programme de niveau master.<\/p>\n

Mon voyage dans ce nouveau monde courageux de la fertilit\u00e9 et de la sant\u00e9 authentique des femmes fait maintenant partie int\u00e9grante de mon vocabulaire professionnel. Je ne sais pas o\u00f9 cela me m\u00e8nera, mais je sais que ce ne sera pas au Panth\u00e9on des meilleures conversationnistes !<\/p>\n

Ce qui m'am\u00e8ne \u00e0 un dernier point :<\/p>\n

Une autre qualit\u00e9 que les PCF poss\u00e8dent, ou d\u00e9veloppent rapidement, est une voix humble, sans jugement et anti\u00e9go\u00efste. Nous parlons des choses qui comptent vraiment pour la sant\u00e9 d'une femme, pour son bien, m\u00eame si ce n'est pas toujours glamour. Cependant, avec le temps, les conversations que vous avez avec votre PCF peuvent devenir magnifiques, si vous avez un bon praticien qui a un c\u0153ur humble.<\/p>\n
