Celebramos nuestro quinto aniversario con una deliciosa cena: una versi\u00f3n Whole30 del burrito bowl. No fue una casualidad. El Whole30, un cambio de estilo de vida de 30 d\u00edas que fomenta el consumo de alimentos integrales mientras restringe el az\u00facar, la leche, los granos, el alcohol y otros alimentos, ha jugado un papel integral en nuestra relaci\u00f3n. Con la ayuda de Whole30, pude controlar los s\u00edntomas de mi s\u00edndrome de ovario poliqu\u00edstico, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">que a su vez nos ayud\u00f3 a superar la infertilidad.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nuestra relaci\u00f3n con la alimentaci\u00f3n Whole30 comenz\u00f3 despu\u00e9s de concebir a nuestro primer hijo. Lamentablemente, este embarazo termin\u00f3 en aborto espont\u00e1neo, al igual que el siguiente. En ese momento, hab\u00eda estado evitando los productos de trigo, pero ese enfoque no hab\u00eda sido tan eficaz para mi salud en general como yo esperaba. Me diagnosticaron <a href=\"https:\/\/www.volusonclub.net\/empowered-womens-health\/diagnosing-pcos-the-link-between-hypothyroidism-and-pcos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">S\u00edndrome de ovario poliqu\u00edstico (SOP) y funci\u00f3n tiroidea baja<\/a> y desde entonces, mi vida ha sido una serie de sufrimientos, esperanzas, alegr\u00edas, luchas y cambios de estilo de vida.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En lo que respecta al SOP, no existe un enfoque \u00fanico para aliviar los s\u00edntomas o encontrar la causa de la enfermedad en cada mujer. Sin embargo, las investigaciones demuestran que la resistencia a la insulina es uno de los principales factores que contribuyen al SOP y a la sobreproducci\u00f3n de testosterona en el organismo. Este factor fue lo que hizo que mi marido y yo nos lanz\u00e1ramos a nuestro primer Whole30, con la esperanza de que Whole30 me ayudara a controlar mi SOP y a superar la infertilidad. Pens\u00e9 que si pod\u00eda darle a mi cuerpo un descanso de la inflamaci\u00f3n y la sobrecarga de insulina, podr\u00eda ovular por mi cuenta y concebir.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Era junio de 2017 y mi marido ten\u00eda un trabajo en una universidad con alojamiento y un plan de comidas incluido, pero est\u00e1bamos descubriendo que ten\u00edamos diferentes necesidades diet\u00e9ticas. En ese momento de nuestro matrimonio, yo no ten\u00eda mucho talento en la cocina y era a\u00fan peor en la planificaci\u00f3n de comidas, algo imprescindible para un cambio de estilo de vida como el Whole30.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pero me he dado cuenta de que incluso un r\u00e9gimen nutricional complejo como Whole30 puede aprenderse. Y, para m\u00ed y mi familia, ha merecido la pena con creces aprenderlo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"what-is-whole30\"><b>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es Whole30?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Si esta es su primera exposici\u00f3n a la Whole30 aqu\u00ed est\u00e1 el desglose del programa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Durante 30 d\u00edas seguidos (sin desviarte del plan) puedes comer tantas verduras, frutas, frutos secos y semillas, pescado y marisco, carne, huevos y grasas saludables como tu cuerpo necesite para desarrollarse. Evita los cereales, los productos l\u00e1cteos, las legumbres, el alcohol, los aditivos alimentarios (los ingredientes que no puedes pronunciar) y el az\u00facar en todas sus formas. Una vez transcurridos los 30 d\u00edas, reintroduce lentamente cada uno de los grupos de alimentos eliminados y observa el efecto que tienen en su organismo.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"the-difference-whole30-made-for-my-health-and-fertility\"><b>La diferencia que Whole30 supuso para mi salud y mi fertilidad<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Al final de nuestros 30 d\u00edas, no s\u00f3lo me sent\u00eda mejor por dentro, sino que tambi\u00e9n ten\u00eda un aspecto m\u00e1s saludable por fuera. Los anillos me quedaban m\u00e1s holgados en los dedos, lo que indicaba que la inflamaci\u00f3n y la retenci\u00f3n de l\u00edquidos hab\u00edan disminuido.  La ropa tambi\u00e9n me quedaba mejor y me sent\u00eda m\u00e1s c\u00f3moda conmigo misma. Mi piel brillaba (mejillas sonrosadas) y mi estado de \u00e1nimo era m\u00e1s estable. Dorm\u00eda mejor y mis antojos de az\u00facar eran m\u00e1s suaves que nunca. Me sent\u00eda tan fresca y tan esperanzada de estar en el buen camino. Seis d\u00edas despu\u00e9s, concebimos a nuestro hijo, Samuel. Naci\u00f3 a t\u00e9rmino (\u00a1en la fecha prevista!), sano y sin complicaciones.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"how-fertility-awareness-works-hand-in-hand-with-whole30\"><b>C\u00f3mo el conocimiento de la fertilidad trabaja mano a mano con Whole30<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No puedo enfatizar lo suficiente lo fundamental que fue para m\u00ed que mientras hac\u00eda Whole30, estaba trazando mi ciclo usando un M\u00e9todo Basado en el Conocimiento de la Fertilidad (FABM). El m\u00e9todo que aprend\u00ed fue el Creighton Model FertilityCare System. Gracias a los gr\u00e1ficos del Modelo Creighton, no s\u00f3lo s\u00e9 la fecha en que concebimos a nuestro hijo, sino que ahora tengo casi una d\u00e9cada de mi propio historial m\u00e9dico registrado, \u00a1en un solo lugar!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cuando se trata de controlar el SOPQ, ser capaz de ver tus ciclos de una manera visual es posiblemente la parte m\u00e1s importante del rompecabezas. Sin esta mitad del rompecabezas, la otra mitad del manejo del SOPQ (cambios en el estilo de vida, intervenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica, etc.) puede nunca llegar a enfocarse completamente; la imagen puede quedar incompleta. A pesar de lo confusa que puede parecer la gesti\u00f3n del SOP, me alivia mucho saber que estoy haciendo todo lo que puedo para \"ver\" lo que mi cuerpo est\u00e1 haciendo en cada ciclo. He utilizado el Modelo Creighton durante casi una d\u00e9cada, y estoy tan convencida de su importancia en mi vida que ahora tambi\u00e9n estoy capacitada para ense\u00f1ar el sistema a otras mujeres.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"managing-my-pcos-with-whole30\"><b>Controlar mi SOP con Whole30<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Un avance r\u00e1pido hasta el 2020 previo a la cuarentena: mi marido y yo acab\u00e1bamos de completar nuestro segundo Whole30. Esta vez, mis antojos de az\u00facar estaban literalmente fuera de control. Tenemos la esperanza de enga\u00f1ar al SOP con el cambio de estilo de vida Whole30 una vez m\u00e1s y concebir un hijo, y creo firmemente que se puede hacer. Contin\u00fao sumergi\u00e9ndome m\u00e1s profundamente en la alimentaci\u00f3n para una salud \u00f3ptima y la reversi\u00f3n de los s\u00edntomas del SOP, y es dif\u00edcil. He tenido que apoyarme muchas veces en mi marido y en su disciplina y fortaleza. Sigo aprendiendo m\u00e1s sobre el voto que le hice, \"estar ah\u00ed en la salud y en la enfermedad\"... Nunca pens\u00e9 que ver\u00eda este voto a trav\u00e9s de la lente de mi propia enfermedad cr\u00f3nica.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Estoy continuamente aprendiendo m\u00e1s sobre el SOP y la salud endocrina y siempre voy a dar fe de un programa de eliminaci\u00f3n de la dieta como Whole30 como un gran primer paso para aquellos que luchan con los s\u00edntomas del SOP y no saber por d\u00f3nde empezar. Una vez m\u00e1s, no hay <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalwomanhood.org\/es\/pcos-causa-depresion-sintomas-de-infertilidad-19\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">enfoque \u00fanico<\/a> al tratamiento del SOP, por lo que siempre es importante discutir estas decisiones de estilo de vida con su proveedor de atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica antes de sumergirse de inmediato. El viaje hacia una salud \u00f3ptima no termina con un enfoque de dieta y nutrici\u00f3n como Whole30, pero absolutamente puede comenzar con uno.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mindful-eating-and-mindful-charting\"><b>Mindful eating y mindful charting<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tambi\u00e9n es importante ser consciente de que, aunque el SOP (y otros trastornos reproductivos) pueden ser muy dif\u00edciles de manejar a veces -especialmente si te enfrentas a una adicci\u00f3n al az\u00facar-, no tienen por qu\u00e9 consumir todos tus pensamientos. Aprender h\u00e1bitos alimenticios reflexivos y estar m\u00e1s en sinton\u00eda con mi cuerpo - ambos de los cuales pueden convertirse en una segunda naturaleza despu\u00e9s de un tiempo - puede ser uno de los frutos m\u00e1s preciados de mi experiencia Whole30. <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalwomanhood.org\/es\/como-el-mindfulness-puede-mejorar-tus-habitos-graficos-reducir-el-estres-empoderar-a-las-mujeres-2020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mindfulness con gr\u00e1ficos<\/a> y la alimentaci\u00f3n pueden ir realmente de la mano para ayudarle a mejorar su salud en general.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"prioritizing-our-health-and-fertility-starts-with-the-food-we-eat\"><b>Dar prioridad a nuestra salud y fertilidad empieza por los alimentos que comemos<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Desde que empez\u00f3 este viaje para nosotros, hemos reforzado nuestra determinaci\u00f3n de alimentar a nuestra familia con alimentos nutritivos y satisfactorios y de eliminar el az\u00facar siempre que podamos. Y todo esto es posible sin salirnos del presupuesto. Mi marido es profesor de secundaria cat\u00f3lica y yo me quedo en casa con nuestro hijo. Nuestro presupuesto es, en el mejor de los casos, ahorrador, pero nos esforzamos por dar prioridad a las comidas inocuas para la insulina, porque queremos que nuestra comida sea nuestra medicina y nuestra medicina sea nuestra comida. Este proceso me ha ayudado a darme cuenta de que yo controlo lo que le doy a mi cuerpo, y no al rev\u00e9s. Tambi\u00e9n ha habido una ventaja a\u00f1adida: \u00a1ahora soy una planificadora de comidas autodidacta y experta!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mientras que el Whole30 me ayud\u00f3 a controlar mi s\u00edndrome de ovario poliqu\u00edstico y a superar la subfertilidad para hacer crecer nuestra familia, tambi\u00e9n nos ha ayudado a alcanzar un lugar de libertad y rendici\u00f3n tanto con nuestra salud como con nuestra fertilidad compartida. Usando una analog\u00eda con las plantas, reconocemos que debemos mantener la tierra rica en nutrientes, pero la semilla se planta y brota a su debido tiempo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Es necesario mantener esta perspectiva para no desanimarse. Cada ma\u00f1ana me recuerdo a m\u00ed misma: \"Este es el primer d\u00eda del resto de tu vida\"; ha sido un himno motivador para atravesar todo lo que acompa\u00f1a a la enfermedad cr\u00f3nica. Sum\u00e9rgete, profundiza, muestra alegr\u00eda y gratitud por las peque\u00f1as victorias y mira lo que sale de tu viaje por la salud.
