En el caso de las mujeres que precisan tratamiento quir\u00fargico, los cirujanos pueden emplear una de las dos t\u00e9cnicas siguientes: La resecci\u00f3n ov\u00e1rica en cu\u00f1a (OWR) o la perforaci\u00f3n ov\u00e1rica (OD).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aunque se calcula que hasta el 12% de las mujeres en edad reproductiva padecen esta enfermedad, se desconoce su causa exacta.
