Lo he comprobado en mi propia experiencia con los FAM. Pero como parte de un programa de salud integral, el seguimiento de la fertilidad puede ofrecer m\u00e1s \u00e1ngulos desde los que analizar qu\u00e9 est\u00e1 pasando exactamente y qu\u00e9 tienen que ver nuestros ciclos hormonales con todo ello.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"1-fams-can-alert-us-that-something-is-wrong-hormonally\">Los FAMs #1 pueden alertarnos de que algo va mal hormonalmente<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Como mujer que ha utilizado FAM durante m\u00e1s de cuatro a\u00f1os, he experimentado personalmente importantes beneficios para mi salud mental gracias a la comprensi\u00f3n de mi ciclo. Al principio de mi matrimonio, mis periodos eran cada vez m\u00e1s dif\u00edciles de controlar, tanto emocional como f\u00edsicamente. Durante un tiempo, no indagu\u00e9 m\u00e1s en el tema, asumiendo err\u00f3neamente que el doloroso s\u00edndrome premenstrual era mi destino como mujer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Resulta que mis menstruaciones dolorosas, mi mal humor y mis reflejos de llanto deber\u00edan habernos alertado a m\u00ed y a mi marido (s\u00ed, \u00e9l sabe de estas cosas) de que me pasaba algo hormonalmente. S\u00f3lo cuando empezamos a intentar concebir -y despu\u00e9s de varios meses de intentarlo, a pesar de mantener relaciones sexuales en mis momentos m\u00e1s f\u00e9rtiles- empezamos a darnos cuenta de que algo no iba bien. As\u00ed que repasamos nuestros conocimientos sobre los ciclos femeninos y le\u00edmos libros como <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Fertility-Cycles-Nutrition-Marilyn-Shannon\/dp\/0926412345\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fertilidad, ciclos y nutrici\u00f3n<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Como si se disipara la niebla, la espiral de tristeza que sent\u00eda durante los primeros d\u00edas de la menstruaci\u00f3n se volv\u00eda m\u00e1s controlada, aunque segu\u00eda sinti\u00e9ndome triste por no haber concebido. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despu\u00e9s de unos meses con este patr\u00f3n, tanto mi marido como yo empezamos a comprender mejor el importante papel que desempe\u00f1aban mis hormonas en mi estado de \u00e1nimo, mi actitud y mi perspectiva en cada ciclo. Finalmente llegamos a la conclusi\u00f3n de que necesitaba esos primeros d\u00edas de la regla para hacer el duelo y que, una vez superada la ca\u00edda libre hormonal, pod\u00eda ver las cosas con mucha m\u00e1s claridad. Aunque este conocimiento no hizo que nuestra infertilidad fuera m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil de sobrellevar, ayud\u00f3 inmensamente a mi propia salud mental -y a la salud de mi matrimonio- saber que las l\u00e1grimas incontrolables ten\u00edan una fecha de caducidad cada ciclo, y que mi marido entend\u00eda mi necesidad de m\u00e1s espacio y amabilidad durante ese tiempo. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"3-fams-can-help-women-navigate-postpartum-hormonal-changes\">Los FAM #3 pueden ayudar a las mujeres a superar los cambios hormonales posparto<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mi nuevo conocimiento del ciclo me ha sido muy \u00fatil tambi\u00e9n durante el posparto. En los primeros d\u00edas tras el nacimiento de mi hijo, experiment\u00e9 de forma natural muchos de los altibajos emocionales a los que se enfrentan todas las madres primerizas. Pero, ahora que conoc\u00eda el papel de las hormonas en mi ciclo de fertilidad, me sent\u00eda en sinton\u00eda con mi salud emocional y era consciente de que lo que estaba experimentando no era anormal en m\u00ed. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De este modo, el conocimiento de la fertilidad ayuda a las mujeres que pueden sufrir depresi\u00f3n posparto; conocer la gama normal de emociones durante el propio ciclo puede capacitar a las mujeres para darse cuenta m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidamente de cu\u00e1ndo algo es\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">fuera de<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0emocionalmente. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ahora, un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s del parto, como presto atenci\u00f3n a los signos de fertilidad que vuelven y comprendo mejor lo que ocurre en mi cuerpo desde el punto de vista hormonal, tengo una idea m\u00e1s clara de lo que entra dentro de mi rango de sensaciones normales, y puedo alertarme para pedir ayuda si surge algo inusual. El oscuro misterio ha desaparecido.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"4-fams-can-improve-relationships\">#4 Los FAM pueden mejorar las relaciones<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cada mes que mi marido y yo hemos utilizado un FAM, y a medida que hemos ido atravesando los altibajos de los primeros a\u00f1os de matrimonio, intentando concebir y teniendo nuestro primer hijo, hemos ido comprendiendo mejor la interacci\u00f3n de las hormonas que se producen durante cada uno de mis ciclos. Juntos hemos aprendido m\u00e1s sobre mi cuerpo y mi mente de lo que jam\u00e1s hubi\u00e9ramos cre\u00eddo posible, lo que ha aportado a nuestra relaci\u00f3n un profundo nivel de intimidad que va m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de las palabras. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los FAM no s\u00f3lo han contribuido a fortalecer la relaci\u00f3n con mi marido, sino que creo que tambi\u00e9n han fortalecido la relaci\u00f3n con nuestro hijo. Y los estudios demuestran que estas <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/mentalhealthcenter.org\/how-does-family-life-affect-mental-health\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">fuertes relaciones familiares<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> pueden ser algunos de los mejores protectores contra las enfermedades mentales, tanto para los c\u00f3nyuges como para sus hijos. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los beneficios para la salud mental que he experimentado al utilizar un FAM son s\u00f3lo algunos de los regalos que mi familia ha experimentado gracias a los FAM, pero tendr\u00e1n un profundo impacto en nuestra familia en los a\u00f1os venideros. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Si eres una mujer que sufre en el \u00e1mbito de la salud mental, debes saber que no est\u00e1s sola y que no tienes por qu\u00e9 seguir sufriendo. Mientras navegas por tu propio viaje de salud mental, vale la pena aprender a trazar tu ciclo con una FAM como medio para conocer el ciclo \u00fanico de tu cuerpo. Puede que no sea una soluci\u00f3n milagrosa para todos tus problemas de salud, ya sean mentales o de otro tipo, pero al igual que cualquier otra cosa que controle los s\u00edntomas de tu cuerpo, no te har\u00e1 da\u00f1o y s\u00f3lo a\u00f1adir\u00e1 m\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n \u00fatil a tu arsenal de autocuidado.
