Me pregunt\u00f3 si hab\u00eda empezado a utilizar alg\u00fan producto nuevo en la cara. Lo \u00fanico que se me ocurri\u00f3 fue un nuevo tubo de m\u00e1scara de pesta\u00f1as que empec\u00e9 a utilizar.&nbsp;<em>hace un mes<\/em>. Conociendo la extrema sensibilidad de mi hermana al formaldeh\u00eddo, busqu\u00e9 los ingredientes en el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinsafeproducts.com\/apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Aplicaci\u00f3n Skinsafe<\/a>y efectivamente, hab\u00eda formaldeh\u00eddo en esta m\u00e1scara de pesta\u00f1as.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No tengo lo que se dice una \"piel sensible\", pero despu\u00e9s de una exposici\u00f3n prolongada al formaldeh\u00eddo, la piel del contorno de los ojos ya no aguantaba m\u00e1s. Tir\u00e9 el tubo de m\u00e1scara de pesta\u00f1as y tom\u00e9 nota mental de no volver a comprar esa marca. Mis ojos tardaron una semana en volver a la normalidad.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lo que realmente me \"abri\u00f3 los ojos\" es que mi cuerpo tardara tanto en reaccionar y tanto en recuperarse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-is-formaldehyde-nbsp\"><span id=\"what-is-formaldehyde\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 es el formaldeh\u00eddo?&nbsp;<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El formaldeh\u00eddo es esa cosa de olor desagradable que se utiliza para conservar en vinagre ranas muertas para diseccionarlas en clase de biolog\u00eda. . . y un conservante habitual en casi todos los productos de belleza, desde jabones hasta maquillaje, esmalte de u\u00f1as, champ\u00fa, loci\u00f3n, gomina y desodorante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lamentablemente, el formaldeh\u00eddo no es el \u00fanico ingrediente habitual en nuestros productos dom\u00e9sticos que supone un problema, \u00a1y tampoco es el peor! S\u00f3lo es uno de los que tiende a causar&nbsp;<em>exteriormente&nbsp;<\/em>problemas notables.<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cuando estaba revisando mi <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalwomanhood.org\/es\/tema\/metodos-de-conocimiento-de-la-fertilidad\/aprender-un-metodo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FertilityCare<\/a> mi supervisora me habl\u00f3 de una pareja con la que hab\u00eda trabajado y que ten\u00eda <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalwomanhood.org\/es\/tema\/infertilidad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">luch\u00f3 por quedarse embarazada<\/a> durante a\u00f1os. Ella les hab\u00eda ense\u00f1ado a trazar el ciclo de la mujer, y los remiti\u00f3 para <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalwomanhood.org\/es\/buscar-un-medico\/medicina-reproductiva-reparadora\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tratamiento m\u00e9dico para curar los problemas subyacentes<\/a>. Cuando las absorbemos a trav\u00e9s de la piel, se dirigen a nuestros \u00f3rganos de la misma forma que el estr\u00f3geno natural. Esto provoca <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalwomanhood.org\/es\/tema\/disfunciones-del-ciclo\/desequilibrio-hormonal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hormonas desequilibradas<\/a>que afectan a nuestra salud y fertilidad.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A menos que seas extremadamente consciente de lo que metes en casa, probablemente tu hogar est\u00e9 cargado de disruptores endocrinos. Si el formaldeh\u00eddo hace que su piel se hinche y le pique, \u00bfqu\u00e9 tipo de da\u00f1o invisible est\u00e1 causando (y otros disruptores endocrinos) dentro de su cuerpo?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aunque estar\u00eda bien darte una lista de ingredientes que debes evitar, simplemente no puedo. Hay miles de variaciones de estas sustancias qu\u00edmicas con nombres diferentes. Y las empresas no est\u00e1n obligadas a indicar exactamente qu\u00e9 contiene la \"fragancia\" o el \"parfum\", as\u00ed que seguro que hay algo en esa \"fragancia\" que no quieres que impregne tu cuerpo.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La buena noticia es que, si te informas y haces algunos cambios sencillos, puedes protegerte a ti y a tu familia de estas sustancias qu\u00edmicas comunes. De hecho, puede reducir significativamente la carga de disruptores endocrinos en su organismo (y en el de su familia) con s\u00f3lo centrarse en eliminar los principales portadores de los ya mencionados formaldeh\u00eddo, bisfenol A (BPA) y ftalatos.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-bisphenols-and-phthalates-are-two-of-the-most-widely-used-endocrine-disruptors\"><span id=\"bisphenols-and-phthalates-are-two-of-the-most-widely-used-endocrine-disruptors\">Los bisfenoles y los ftalatos son dos de los disruptores endocrinos m\u00e1s utilizados<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bisfenol A (BPA)&nbsp;<\/strong>es una sustancia qu\u00edmica industrial utilizada en la fabricaci\u00f3n de pl\u00e1sticos. La exposici\u00f3n al BPA est\u00e1 relacionada con trastornos reproductivos como <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalwomanhood.org\/es\/tema\/endometriosis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">endometriosis<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalwomanhood.org\/es\/tema\/quistes-pcos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">s\u00edndrome de ovario poliqu\u00edstico (SOP)<\/a>y <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalwomanhood.org\/es\/los-indices-de-cancer-de-mama-se-disparan-la-oms-redobla-la-promocion-de-los-anticonceptivos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">c\u00e1ncer de mama<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por desgracia, el BPA es tambi\u00e9n una de las sustancias qu\u00edmicas m\u00e1s producidas en el mundo. Se encuentra en altas concentraciones en el revestimiento de alimentos enlatados, envases de pl\u00e1stico de alimentos y bebidas, e incluso en recibos y peri\u00f3dicos.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ftalatos<\/strong>&nbsp;son un grupo de sustancias qu\u00edmicas muy utilizadas en productos de belleza, y se sabe que causan un efecto estrog\u00e9nico en el organismo. Un exceso de estr\u00f3genos puede alterar el cuidadoso equilibrio de progesterona y estr\u00f3genos necesario para un ciclo menstrual sano. Esto puede traducirse en menstruaciones dolorosas o abundantes, <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalwomanhood.org\/es\/tema\/disfunciones-del-ciclo\/periodo-irregular\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ciclos irregulares<\/a>La endometriosis, la infertilidad y el c\u00e1ncer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los ftalatos son igual de nocivos para los hombres: se sabe que reducen los niveles de testosterona, disminuyen la calidad del esperma y afectan al desarrollo de los test\u00edculos de los beb\u00e9s, <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalwomanhood.org\/es\/por-que-disminuye-la-salud-reproductiva-masculina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">que afectan a su fertilidad en la edad adulta<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-start-making-small-changes-to-what-you-bring-into-your-home\"><span id=\"start-making-small-changes-to-what-you-bring-into-your-home\">Empieza a hacer peque\u00f1os cambios en lo que traes a casa<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Resulta abrumador pensar en lo cargados de sustancias qu\u00edmicas que est\u00e1n nuestros alimentos, envases de alimentos, productos de limpieza y productos de salud y belleza. Saber c\u00f3mo empezar a hacer cambios puede ser desalentador. La buena noticia es que la gente est\u00e1 empezando a darse cuenta de los problemas que crean las sustancias qu\u00edmicas en nuestro organismo, y cada vez hay m\u00e1s productos \"limpios\", sin BPA, ftalatos, formaldeh\u00eddo ni otros disruptores endocrinos.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pero hasta que el resto de la industria se ponga al d\u00eda, mi mejor consejo para vivir una vida m\u00e1s libre de productos qu\u00edmicos es simplemente empezar con un cambio a la vez. Me ha llevado a\u00f1os encontrar recetas de jab\u00f3n casero que funcionen, cambiar nuestros recipientes de almacenamiento de alimentos y vasos, y encontrar un nuevo gel para el pelo que me guste, \u00a1y todav\u00eda estoy trabajando para encontrar un desodorante natural que le guste a mi marido! Es un proceso continuo evitar las sustancias qu\u00edmicas que alteran el sistema endocrino y que afectar\u00e1n a la salud y la fertilidad de tu familia, pero merece la pena el esfuerzo cuando comprendes lo peligrosas que son, especialmente para nuestros hijos en desarrollo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para conseguir un mayor impacto, te propongo que empieces cambiando s\u00f3lo una o dos de las cosas que pones&nbsp;<em>en&nbsp;<\/em>tu cuerpo, y lo que pones&nbsp;<em>en&nbsp;<\/em>tu cuerpo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-avoid-chemicals-in-your-food-and-drink\"><span id=\"avoid-chemicals-in-your-food-and-drink\">Evite los productos qu\u00edmicos en la comida y la bebida<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Es obvio: \u00a1lo que ingieres importa! De hecho, en su libro&nbsp;<em>El quinto signo vital,&nbsp;<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/naturalwomanhood.org\/es\/entrevista-con-lisa-hendrickson-jack-quinto-viernes-vital-de-la-fertilidad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lisa Hendrickson-Jack<\/a>&nbsp;dice: \"Si no te lo meter\u00edas en la boca y te lo comer\u00edas, \u00a1no deber\u00edas pon\u00e9rtelo en la piel!\".&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tampoco pases por alto lo que te pones en la ropa. Llevamos ropa casi las 24 horas del d\u00eda y nos acurrucamos con la almohada y las mantas toda la noche.
